This one feels like somebody actually cared when they put it together.
The 26" strand combines substantial polished green stone beads with soft pink rose quartz, hand-painted floral cloisonné beads and ribbed gold-tone spacers. The beads appear to be individually hand knotted, a traditional construction detail that gives the necklace a little more substance than your average vintage costume piece.
The green beads are especially interesting. They're cold and substantial in hand, with mottling and fine fibrous or string-like inclusions visible when strongly backlit. The same green stone is visible inside the drill holes, where the material is simply unpolished rather than showing signs of a surface coating.
Based on those characteristics, I believe the green stone may be jade, possibly nephrite jade. However, I am not a gemologist and the beads have not been professionally tested, so I am not guaranteeing them as jade. I'd rather leave a little mystery than suddenly appoint myself head of the Gemological Institute of Alycia.
The pink beads appear consistent with natural rose quartz, while the cloisonné adds those beautiful little flashes of floral color.
Symbolism & Witchy Uses
If the green stone is jade, it's traditionally associated with good fortune, prosperity, protection and longevity, while rose quartz brings in love, compassion and heart-centered energy.
That makes this a particularly good talisman for attracting the things you actually want to stick around: love, luck, prosperity and a little protection from whatever nonsense is currently circling the neighborhood.
