I buy a lot of old photographs.
Usually, I can make a reasonable guess about what's happening.
Not this time.
Taken in December 1957, this vintage snapshot shows a man bent forward over what appears to be a baby's crib or playpen sitting outside an apartment building.
And it's the way he's coming toward it.
Sir.
What are we doing?
Meanwhile, there's a woman in the background walking into the building, apparently unconcerned with whatever Mr. December has planned.
There is almost certainly a completely innocent explanation for this photograph.
Almost certainly.
But we don't have it.
What we have instead is one wonderfully strange little moment from 1957 that somebody photographed, developed, kept for decades, and eventually lost from the family it belonged to.
Now Mr. December is looking for a new home.
Perfect for a cabinet of curiosities, strange vintage photo collection, haunted relic display, spooky gallery wall, intuitive reading practice, or anyone who prefers their old photographs with unanswered questions attached.
And no, I'm not claiming this photograph is actually haunted.
Mr. December has enough going on without me starting rumors.
