An athame is traditionally a ritual blade used to direct energy, mark sacred space and create energetic boundaries. This version is carved entirely from selenite, so we're firmly in the metaphysical rather than stabby category.
Selenite is one of my favorite stones for cleansing because it is traditionally associated with purification, energetic clearing and protection. Combined with the symbolism of the ritual blade, it makes a beautiful tool for cutting energetic ties, clearing stagnant energy and setting very deliberate boundaries around yourself or your space.
I especially like these for ritual work where you want the symbolism of cutting something away without using a literal knife.

To use it for cleansing, slowly move the athame around yourself, your cards or an object while visualizing unwanted energy being cleared away. For cord cutting work, use the blade symbolically to sever the energetic connection you're ready to release.

Selenite is a naturally soft and somewhat delicate mineral. Keep it dry, handle it with care and don't toss this into a drawer with your keys unless you'd like to conduct an unexpected lesson in mineral hardness.
