No, these aren't sodalite. But they certainly look like they wandered over from the metaphysical jewelry department, and I'm perfectly happy to let them have their moment.
Four marquise-shaped blue stones are arranged into a dramatic cross or floral formation, each with cloudy white markings that give them the appearance of natural sodalite. The stones are faux, set into an ornate gold-tone setting that gives the entire ring a slightly Victorian, slightly fortune-teller-who-knows-something-you-don't quality.
Since the stones aren't genuine crystals, I'm not assigning them metaphysical properties they don't have. What I do love is the symbolism of the deep blue color itself. Blue has long been associated with calm, contemplation, wisdom and clear communication, so there's absolutely nothing stopping you from giving this ring an intention of its own.
