This one feels like it belongs tucked inside an old jewelry box with a letter nobody was supposed to find.
The chain is made from natural black spinel rosary beads, interrupted with little flashes of gold-plated pyrite and joined by an ornate gold-plated scrollwork connector. From there, the necklace drops another 2.5 inches, ending in a dark oxidized heart.
And spiritually, black spinel is no shrinking violet.
It's traditionally associated with protection, grounding, resilience, and clearing away negative energy, which makes the rosary-style construction particularly interesting to me. Add the black heart and suddenly this feels less like ordinary jewelry and more like a little piece of devotional armor.
Not necessarily romantic devotion, either.
Wear it for the person you still carry with you. For ancestral work. For protection when you're walking into a room whose energy you don't entirely trust. For a love that changed you.
