This baby has money.
Do I have documentation of that?
Absolutely not.
But look at this child.
Planted in that enormous upholstered chair, dressed in acres of white fabric, bare little feet sticking out, staring slightly off-camera as though someone has just informed them the family carriage is running late.
This antique carte de visite, or CDV, photograph was made by Stewart of Mannington, West Virginia and features an unidentified baby who appears to be doing quite well for themselves.
The card also has gold-colored gilding along the edges, a small detail I especially love because obviously this particular baby couldn't possibly have been photographed on ordinary cardboard like the rest of us.
Their name has been lost.
Their family has been lost.
Their financial portfolio remains confidential.
But somehow this tiny photograph survived.
I have not done a psychic reading on this photograph, so whoever adopts the Trust Fund Baby gets to find out whether that silver-spoon assessment is remotely accurate.
Display it with antique photographs, tuck it into a cabinet of curiosities, add it to a Victorian gallery wall or ancestor-style altar, or use it for psychometry, intuitive work or your own divination practice.
Condition
Authentic antique condition with age-related toning, fading, surface scratches, marks and general wear consistent with its age. The photograph remains quite clear, including the baby's face, clothing and wonderfully elaborate chair.
Gold-colored edging is visible around the card.
