Now THIS is the kind of thing I want sitting on a divination table.
The base is a vintage brass tripod stand with three beautifully detailed ram's heads supporting the bowl from above and long decorated legs ending in hoof-style feet below. Sitting inside is a heavy ruby red cut-to-clear glass bowl with deeply cut fan and leaf designs that catch the light beautifully.
The bowl and stand were not originally made together. Somewhere along the way, however, these two found each other, and frankly I think whoever did it made the right decision.
The glass bowl fits into the brass support and lifts out easily.
If I were keeping this, I'd use it as a casting bowl for divination tokens. Toss charms, bones, coins, runes or other casting pieces inside and draw from the bowl during a reading.
But there are plenty of other possibilities. Fill it with crystals. Keep written petitions inside. Use it for ritual ingredients or offerings. Turn it into a very dramatic altar vessel.
Or put candy in it. I'm not the boss of you.

Condition
Both pieces are vintage and show signs of age and previous use.
The brass has developed natural patina, discoloration and surface wear, particularly around the base and feet. I have left that aging intact rather than aggressively polishing it away.
The glass should also be expected to show minor signs of vintage use. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are part of the description and show the exact pieces you will receive.
Please Note
The brass stand and ruby glass bowl are both vintage pieces, but they were not originally manufactured as a set. They have been paired together because the bowl fits the stand beautifully and, more importantly, the combination is fantastic.
No specific maker or origin is being attributed to the glass bowl.
