Salvaged vintage hairspray lid turned candlelit altar piece with an aura rose quartz fairy carving and floral vintage plate for dreamy ritual spaces, cozy glow, and strange little corners that feel alive at night.

This started life as the decorative top from an old hairspray can—which honestly makes it even better.

Back when everyday objects were allowed to be dramatic for absolutely no reason, somebody designed this ornate Hollywood Regency-style lid with all the extra detail and filigree like it belonged in a perfume ad from 1968. Now it’s been repurposed into this softly glowing little altar piece with a flickering battery candle tucked inside.

And somehow it works ridiculously well.

The light filters through the metalwork and throws this warm candlelit glow that feels equal parts glamorous and haunted in the best possible way.

The aura rose quartz fairy sitting beside it softens the whole setup. She catches flashes of pink, blue, and gold depending on the lighting, and together the pieces feel less like “home décor” and more like objects somebody meaningful kept around for years.

The vintage Cleveland floral plate underneath grounds the entire setup and gives it that finished, collected-over-time feeling instead of looking overly polished or mass produced.

This is absolutely one of those pieces that looks even better at night.

Ritual Tip

Turn on the flickering candle during readings, journaling, baths, or nighttime reset rituals when you want the room to feel softer, quieter, and a little more magical.
