Meet The Respected Widow.
I found this original tintype and, as I sometimes do with the old photographs that come through the shop, used her for a live psychic investigation during one of my Whatnot shows.
Well.
According to the reading, our respectable lady was married to a man connected to a lumber mill. She wanted the business. Unfortunately, there were a couple of people standing between her and complete control of it.
First went the husband.
Then came the son, who apparently had the unfortunate combination of knowing too much and being inconvenient to her plans.
Once those obstacles were removed, she took control of the business and settled rather comfortably into her new identity as the town's respected widow.
And apparently she wasn't finished.
Another man eventually entered the picture and wanted to become the next Mr. Respected Widow. The reading suggested she had similar plans for him, except she'd finally encountered someone playing the same game she was. He had his own rather Black Widower-ish intentions.
Honestly, those two deserved each other.
This is the actual antique tintype used during that reading. You're purchasing the original photograph shown here, complete with its age, wear and whatever the hell has been going on with this woman for the last century-plus.
Personally, I’m not entirely convinced the Respected Widow ever left this portrait. Take her home and you can be the judge.
