I track my income in a Google spreadsheet daily. And I have done that for years. It is so important to track your income because you probably have those days where you're thinking to yourself that you're broke. And that you're not hitting your income goals.
Or worse yet, you don't have any income goals and how in the hell are you going to grow? More importantly, how are you gonna celebrate if you don't know that you smashed your income goal?
Track This #2: Popular Blog Posts
If you haven't yet, install some Google analytics and make it a task that you check what your popular blog content is so you can whip up some more of that and optimize it. Make it work harder for you!
Track This #3: Where Your Traffic Came From
Who doesn't want to know where your best clients come from? Then you can go find more, right? That is why it's super important to track where your best prospects are coming from. And then you can hang out more there and holler for the dollar there.
Track This #4: Popular Content On Social Media
What works for Josie may not work for you. Social media and the way you connect with your dream peeps means you need to analyze what actually works for you and your business.
Instead of checking off boxes that the gurus tell you to, you need to do what works for you and helps you connect with your dreamy peeps. Then you can do more of the stuff that works.

If at any time last year you started to hate marketing your creative business I will guess it is because you were trying to check off the boxes and get it done.
